Title: The Paintbrush and the Pencil

Cy’s Artist’s Statement

I chose this design of a pencil and paintbrush because I like art, specifically I like to draw and paint. I chose to place the pencil and paintbrush in this way because once when I was in the car, I saw a summer camp logo that had two arrows crossing and I thought that was a cool design.
I had to draw and erase it a couple of times to get it to look the way I wanted, so I learned to have patience. My favorite part of the piece was drawing it.

I used graphite pencils, colored pencils, paintbrushes, and paper.
