Special High School Info Session

Friday, November 7, 3-4:30 pm

13 Marshall St, Norwalk, CT 06854

Attend our High School Information Session to meet our team, learn about our program and tour our school!

Find out how we prepare teens for a future defined by their strengths. while removing the challenges that currently stand in their way.

Cajal Academy is an innovative school for bright, gifted, “twice exceptional” and EDS students in grades K-12. We prepare these inherently innovative thinkers with the skills they’ll need to support their gifts in college and beyond, while reducing or even removing learning, social-emotional, executive function, sensory and many neurophysiological challenges that threaten to stand in their way.

We’ve made a break-through for the field of education: a research-backed methodology for reducing or even removing student disabilities. This ground-breaking work is embedded within a project-based learning school tailored to develop the skills innovative thinkers need to turn their unique ways of seeing the world into reality.

Join this special event to learn directly from our visionary cofounder in an intimate setting about key ways our high school program uniquely prepares students who have high analytical and creative reasoning skills to thrive independently in college and beyond. Along the way, we’ll answer many common questions about our unique, research-backed educational approach including:

  • How we develop the critical skills that students who inherently see the world in innovative ways will need in college and as the adults they’ll become to turn their visions into reality

  • How we use multi-disciplinary project-based learning to develop the essential critical thinking, peer collaboration and time management skills that make the difference for college academic and emotional success

  • How we apply a neuroscience-based approach to understanding student behaviors to reduce or even reverse task avoidance, school refusal and school-based anxieties

  • The paradoxical way that a small, mixed age cohort can help students who have social-emotional challenges develop social leadership skills they can use to foster the healthy relationships and truly-inclusive neurodivergent communities they’ll need to thrive on their own

  • How we take physical education to the next level to give teens the knowledge and neurophysiological tools they need to self-monitor, self-manage and self-advocate for their needs so they are prepared to live and pursue their studies independently

Cajal Academy is located in “SONO” Connecticut, accessible by train from New York City, New Haven, Ridgefield, Westchester County and other points throughout the region. Join us in person (recommended) or request a virtual link to secure your spot!
