NEW! Cajal Academy Launches After School Programs September, 2025!
Tailored to empower Bright, Gifted, Twice Exceptional and EDS Kids
For years, we’ve received requests to make our unique program available to more families, and now we have the space to do it!
Our new After School Program fill the need in our community for after school programs that are tailored to developing the gifts and meeting the needs of kids who naturally see the world in innovative ways, including bright, gifted, twice exceptional and EDS kids. All our After School Programs will be taught by Cajal’s expert staff and apply the same Neuro- and Trauma-Informed Approach we use to empower students every day, who are specially trained in the needs of gifted and 2e learners, with support for executive function, learning, social-emotional, motor coordination and chronic medical needs. The net result is an inclusive and nurturing space in which to discover new interests and develop your gifts.

Come learn this popular strategic card game from world-ranked player and Cajal Academy teacher Darra Snow! Strategic planning, critical thinking, analysis, executive function and social skills come together in this exciting game. All materials provided, but bring your own deck if you’d like! Ages 10 and up.

Whether you’re yet to discover your gifts or ready for a runway as an experienced artist, you’ll take your abilities to the next level in our After School Studio Art program. Students’ social-emotional, executive function and learning needs will be supported through our exclusive Neuro- and Trauma-Informed approach, within an inclusive community setting.
Grades 6-12.

3:10-4:10 pm
Learn new techniques and discover new gifts, with runway for experienced artists to take their art to the next level! Studio Artist Stephanie Niles will introduce a different skill with each project, with support for fine motor needs. Students’ social-emotional, executive function and learning needs will be supported through our exclusive Neuro- and Trauma-Informed approach, within an inclusive community setting.
Grades K-5.
