Be there for the official launch of our grassroots movement to #ReframeTheDebate on Education!
Cajal Academy has made a major break-through that could revolutionize the field of special education: we’ve developed a research-backed approach that’s proving successful at reducing or even removing learning and in some cases social-emotional and executive function disabilities. That’s not something that was previously understood to be possible.
This is a grassroots solution to a grassroots problem. It didn’t come out of a big research university, it came out of one Mom’s refusal to accept that her children’s futures would be held back by challenges that science suggested could be solved—and her conviction that we have a moral imperative to apply all available science to help our kids. Not just the ones that are privileged to be able to afford our program without public support but all our children who are struggling with challenges that they didn’t ask for.
Our program has had transformative results for our students—results that can dramatically reduce the costs of meeting their educational needs for the remainder of their K-12 years by as much as $100,000 per child, per year. That could change the equation completely not just for the child, but for our towns, and could provide a solution to the fiscal crisis that is impacting us all.
But we can’t do it alone.
That’s why we’re launching our grassroots movement to #reframethedebate on education. We need to stop arguing about how to cut special education costs, and start collaborating to access innovative new solutions that can reduce the needs that are so costly to support.
Visit our campaign page to find out about 10 easy ways you can support our movement. Do them all before the event and we’ll recognize you on our website as a champion for neuroscience in education!
What Your Ticket and Silent Auction Bids Supports:
All proceeds from the event will go directly to supporting this work, including:
curriculum, supplies, educator and clinical time for the students currently enrolled in our program
outreach to school districts, families and policymakers letting them know what’s possible when we apply neuroscience in education
documenting our break-through, research-backed protocols and results so that we can publish our findings and help other educators learn how to reduce or even remove learning disabilites: to influence the field of education well beyond our walls
Each direct donation to our Scholarship and Research Fund has a dual impact. First, it directly helps an individual child gain access to our transformative educational approach. Second, in the process it helps us get one step closer to publishing our work, by increasing our research cohort.
As a small, non-profit school, we keep it lean—so every dollar will go directly to student programming and rent on our beautiful program!
We hope to see you there!
